Tour itinerary:
– Old Town: we will discover some of the most charming places in the historic heart of Prague, including Charles University, the oldest in Central Europe, the Estates Theatre where Mozart conducted the world premiere of Don Giovanni, the medieval Town Hall with its famous Astronomical Clock, the Church of Týn, the old Ungelt customs house, and other corners full of history.
– Josefov, the Jewish Quarter: the Old-New Synagogue and evocative traces of the medieval ghetto.
– Klementinum, a magnificent Baroque Jesuit complex with unique historic libraries.
– Charles Bridge, one of the city’s most iconic landmarks, with its Gothic towers, river views, and more than thirty Baroque statues of saints.
After crossing the bridge, transfer to Prague Castle to avoid the uphill walk and continue the visit comfortably.
– Prague Castle: the majestic St. Vitus Cathedral, historic courtyards, and noble palaces.
– Descent toward Malá Strana, one of the most picturesque districts of the city, with the famous Nerudova Street, St. Nicholas Church, and the well-known Lennon Wall.
The tour ends around 15:00 in the Malá Strana area, on Kampa Island, a few steps from Charles Bridge.

In the afternoon, from 16:30, possibility to join a 2.5-hour mini-tour dedicated to beer culture, with tastings of traditional and modern beers, discovering authentic pubs and the stories that made Prague a world beer capital.

Evening free: Christmas concerts, traditional dinners, or a cruise on the Vltava River.

SUNDAY
Breakfast at the hotel. At 9:25 meeting at the Powder Tower. At 9:30 start of the guided tour dedicated to the New Town, one of the most dynamic and significant areas of contemporary Prague. The tour also includes a short tram ride, the most authentic and characteristic form of transport in the city.
Tour itinerary:
– Republic Square (Náměstí Republiky): one of the key points of modern Prague, where major historic buildings meet contemporary commercial areas.
– Masarykovo nádraží: the oldest railway station in Prague still in operation. This area is now undergoing major transformation, where historic architecture blends with modern projects and new urban development.
– Wenceslas Square (Václavské náměstí): the beating heart of the city and the setting of many major events in modern Czech and Czechoslovak history. The area is rich in Art Nouveau and modernist buildings and passages from the early 20th century, representing Prague’s golden age of urban development.
– Karlovo náměstí (Charles Square): one of the best-preserved examples of Charles IV’s grand 14th-century urban plan, which created the New Town as Prague’s modern and representative district. Today it is a large green area surrounded by historic buildings, churches, and a university campus housing several faculties of Charles University. One of these buildings is also the Faust House, wrapped in legends.
– Following Resslova Street, we pass by the Orthodox Church of Saints Cyril and Methodius, linked to Operation Anthropoid during World War II. The street opens onto one of Prague’s most scenic riverfronts, offering splendid views of the Vltava and home to an icon of contemporary architecture: the famous Dancing House, with the possibility of going up to the panoramic terrace to admire the city and the river from above.
The tour ends around 13:30 in this riverfront area, near Jiráskův Bridge and the Dancing House.

Afternoon – Optional tour: Authentic Prague
At 14:25 meeting at the Powder Tower. Departure at 14:30 for an authentic minibus itinerary exploring the city’s less touristy yet most fascinating neighborhoods. This experience reveals areas that developed outside the ancient medieval walls, each with its own identity: places that were once vineyards, fields, or workers’ suburbs, now transformed into creative, residential, and lively districts with cultural spaces and interesting expressions of street art.
Suggested itinerary:
– Žižkov: First stop in this working-class district, created in the late 19th century as a neighborhood of rental houses. Short stop at a panoramic viewpoint offering a beautiful view over the whole of Žižkov and its characteristic steep streets.
– Karlín: We move by minibus toward Karlín, once an industrial district and now fully regenerated. Modern buildings, post-industrial architecture, creative spaces, views of the historic Invalidovna, and contemporary murals make Karlín one of the city’s most dynamic areas.
– Vršovice: An authentic neighborhood in constant transformation, appreciated for its local atmosphere, small cafés, and genuine character. Stop at charming Grébovka, a historic park that was once part of extensive vineyards and today features a characteristic urban vineyard, ideal for tasting a glass of local wine produced in this very area.
– Vinohrady: An elegant residential district with fin-de-siècle buildings and tree-lined avenues, symbolizing the bourgeois development of the late 19th century. The tour continues to the Television Tower, one of Prague’s most distinctive panoramic points.
The tour ends around 17:30 at the same point where it started, near the Powder Tower.

MONDAY
Breakfast and free time to enjoy the historic center and the Christmas markets once more. Transfer to the airport about 3 hours before the flight departure.
